Homework club will be held today in room 623 after school.

 

Girl’s book club will have its first meeting on Tuesday the 10th in room 616.

 

Friday, November 6th from 6:30-10:00pm. Escobedo will host its first Crystal Palce Skate Night for the 2009-10 school year. Admission is $7.00 and includes: a slice of pizza or hot dog, drink, skate rental, and a night of family fun. Hope to see you there…

 

We are in week two of the canned food drive and after our first collection day here are the standings.  In the lead is Ms. Torres’ class with 3%, second place is Ms. Ruth’s class with 1.7% and in third is Ms. Hartzell’s class with 1%.  With a week and a half left of collecting it is still anybody’s game to win.  Can your first period class take the lead?  Bring in your canned food to find out.  Remember we are helping those in need this holiday season!

 

NJHS will hold their mandatory members meeting today afterschool in room 822.  We will be voting on our t-shirt design and boxing canned foods.  Those of you interested in participating in Santa Run can bring your registration form and fee with you to the meeting.  See you there!

We will draw for prizes during Thursday’s announcements!

Have any of you ever wanted to help out those in need of food during the holidays?  Do you like McDonalds?  Well here is your chance help out and get a breakfast.  NJHS and Make A Difference Club are sponsoring a canned food drive for HELP of Southern Nevada.  At the end of the day on November 13 the 1st period class that has collected the highest percentage of canned goods will receive a McDonalds Breakfast.

 

The Twilight Club will be selling Halloween Grams during lunches today, and tomorrow.  Small grams cost 50 cents and large grams are $1. Write a note to a friend or crush. Grams will be delivered during 6th period on Thursday, October 29th along with a special treat. Or will it be a trick?? You will have to wait and see!

Hola, amigos!   The next Spanish club will be meeting today  in room 220 after school.  Mark your “calendario.”  We are going to practice for the Language Fair competition.   Nos Vemos

 

Have any of you ever wanted to help out those in need of food during the holidays?  Do you like McDonalds?  Well here is your chance help out and get a breakfast.  NJHS and Make A Difference Club are sponsoring a canned food drive for HELP of Southern Nevada.  This organization gets food to over 1,200 homes and shelters during Thanksgiving and Christmas BUT they need your help.  Beginning October 26 each 1st period class will be collecting canned goods for those in need. During 6th period TODAY you will get a list of all of the items that are being collected.  We ask that you stick strictly to this list.  At the end of the day on November 13 the 1st period class that has the highest percentage of canned goods to students will receive a McDonalds Breakfast for all their generosity.  Remember this is helping those people in the Las Vegas Valley that may not otherwise have food to eat so bring in your food beginning Monday.
